6 Best FREE Stock Resources
When it comes to stock information, there is no shortage of resources. Some are free, while others require membership. One may be more focused on stock education, while another may provide more research material. Some may have better charts and others have better numbers.
You will be hard pressed to find any stock trader that uses one resource for all their needs. I, for example, go to different sites depending on what I’m looking for, what I need to know, how quickly I need this information, and/or what kind of chart I want.
The following is a list of the BEST FREE STOCK RESOURCES:
1. Google Finance - The instant I need to see anything about a stock, I will instantly go there and get a quick overview of the stock.
2. StockCharts.com – Probably one of the best free chart solutions out there. This free service allows you to annote, pick your indicators, and customize the chart however you want. They also have great articles that teach you about various technical analysis skills.
3. Finviz – A complete information dump on any stock. Want to know what analyst price targets are? Is there any insider buying? What related news is out there? The service also has an amazing free stock screener that allows you to choose various criteria from what kind of volume you like to what chart patterns are showing.
4. BarChart Top 100 – Automatically finds the best 100 stocks based on their criteria. A great place to look for various stock ideas.
5. Investopedia – The Wikipedia of all things finance. Need to know about a term, then start here.
6. StockTwits – If you instantly want to get thrown into a trader’s pit, then this is the place you NEED to be. Traders of all types and levels share their trade ideas, recommendations, and even what picks. You need to have a free Twitter account before you can use this service.
There are obviously a lot more viable resources out there. Eventually you should find the ones that work best for you, and eliminate all the other ones out of your life.
